DB outlined Training Department updates such as upgraded students and mentors. DB also said he would like to set up a mentor school, where the Training Department will teach aspiring mentors and current mentors vital teaching skills to maximise training potential. SM set some improvements he would see in the training department:
He would like to have a system where a student has the same mentor during a rating however changes mentor for each rating.
Have a list of mentors somewhere so people can check to see who can mentor them. Implement a mentor ticket request system on the website. More details will be provided as this develops.
Events Department Update
EB said he might review the weekly events and their effectiveness. He also said he would like to do a city pairing event each month rotating between airports in Europe. The date for the St. Patricks Day event has been set for the 11th March.

[27/11/2011 18:00 - 21:00z] Leeds Bradford and Dublin Overload
On Sunday 27th November between 18:00z and 21:00z, the Northern RTS and VATeir are delighted to announce the Dublin and Leeds Bradford Overload to mark the 80th Birthday of Leeds airport and the opening of terminal 2 at Dublin!

Leeds Bradford Airport which is located in Yeadon, West Yorkshire, originally opened on the 17th of October 1931 and was given the name Leeds and Bradford Municipal Aerodrome. Being the highest airport in England we invite pilots to come fly the tricky approach as the airport sits on top of a very windy hill leading to a very short runway "So ya betta get them brakes on".
In late 2008 Dublin Airports terminal 2 was finally unveiled to the public. It is by far one of the nicest terminals in all of Europe. Dublin also boasts one of the most scenic approaches in the world with the Beautiful Dublin Bay as its backdrop. You can have an amazing view of this bay on the approach into the Airport whilst passing over the lovely Howth Head or Killiney hill.
Both Leeds Bradford and Dublin will be fully staffed with enroute control to provide a busy and exciting short trip across the water!
